Q. Can you arrange work for me ?

A. No, PickingJobs is not a labour agency - only a means of matching employers with job seekers and vice-versa. You have to apply directly to the employers yourself.

Q. Are there some other jobs that are not on the site ?

A. No, all available jobs are on the site. We are hoping to attract more and more to the site so please mention our web address to any potential employers/job seekers. Remember, keep coming back to check on the latest jobs available too.

Q. How old do you have to be to work abroad?

A. PickingJobs recommends a minimum age of 18 years. Most seasonal workers are of university age and above.

Q. Why are there seldom jobs in major fruit and olive producing countries such as Italy, Greece and Spain?

A. Most of the jobs on the site so far are in english speaking countries. Growers in other countries need pickers as much as anywhere else but unfortunately don’t seem to have discovered PickingJobs yet. We’d very much like to spread the message and have more countries represented so if you know of good employers, anywhere in the world, who may benefit from using the service, please tell them about this site.

Q. Can you advise me on work permits/visas?

A. Picking Jobs has no expertise in international employment law and cannot give advice but we have included some useful information and websites at Useful Information.
